Computer science is not about machines, in the same way that astronomy is not about telescopes. There is an essential unity of mathematics and computer science -- Mike Fellows (often attributed to Dijkstra, but first published by Fellows in 1991 in "Computer SCIENCE and Mathematics in the Elementary Schools")

And it all starts again...
Master's Thesis defended and done! Yay!
Which sets me up to begin my PhD, of course. This fall I begin an interdisciplinary program in Computer Science and Psychology. Specifically I'm interested in human problem solving. I'm looking forward to fun new opportunities!

Off the radar
