Kids hack tablets

This is super awesome.  Kids in Ethiopia hack their tablets to make the disabled cameras work.  This is why I love kids.  And why I have a password on my devices ;)

4D imagery

Wow, these 4-D rotating images by Jason Hise are so beautiful.  Especially apt, since I'm currently studying the complexity of identifying realizing objects in 3D from a 2D line representation.  I suspect I enjoy these so much for the same reason that I love Escher's drawings that bend the rules in 3D reality.  Yum!

crochet, recursion and science

This is the second time I've seen crochet used to model complex structures.  Check it out, using crochet to model cloud formation.

And in this Ted talk, Margaret Wertheim uses crochet to explain complex mathematical "shapes"
