Computer science is not about machines, in the same way that astronomy is not about telescopes. There is an essential unity of mathematics and computer science -- Mike Fellows (often attributed to Dijkstra, but first published by Fellows in 1991 in "Computer SCIENCE and Mathematics in the Elementary Schools")
In one of my non-computerized adventures recently, I had the chance to explore the Cedar Farmer's Market (south of Nanaimo). Local farmers had various produce and products for sale, from brussels sprouts to handcrafted furniture. It was a blast.
